| Note | Superbly banded and strongly pigmented representative of this once extremely rare Indian Ocean species. The shell shows two strong axial bands with sienna/burnt sienna brown/pink colors, admirable form and acceptable size. Terrific high tabulated spire showing moderate erosion. Lovely and aesthetic specimen with a moderate weight/size ratio, excellent nacre gloss and flawless body whorl form. Taken at 100-120 meters by trawler off Kollam, Kerala, India in 2018. The natural lip shows medium thickness and some chipping of the posterior edge as it curves and intersects with the body whorl. Grade: F++/F+++. |
