| Note | Elongate, mature and moderately inflated specimen with a crystal clear nacre, brilliantly pigmented with amazing color and featuring a striking ink black base. The specimen has a moderate size/weight ratio, modest marginal flaring and flawless extremities. The visual contrast between the black base and bright tangerine/pumpkin orange lateral walls is nothing short of stunning. Incredible collectors choice jeaniana taken where no sane Scuba divers dare go. ROV collected at 78 meters of water west of Kalbarri at the Big Bank, Western Australia. The specimen presents an invisible small and soft growth fold buried in the deep nacre mid-dorsum, columellar side. Still, a collector's prize showpiece. Grade: GEM minus. |
