| Note | Pristine and rare specimen from this remote area in the South Pacific. Inflated, moderately rostrated specimen with hyper-glossy dorsum and eloquent reticulated pattern. The elongate cylindrical shell shows a fine netted dorsum with fine blue/grey balanced dispersion of sharp lacunae. The margins also show intense black spotting and a blue/blotched brown base and violet/lavender margins. Perfect extremities, dorsum and base. Collected by Scuba diver Paul Kanner under rocks at 15-18 meters in Taioha'e Bay, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas in 1/2013. Original data slip from Paul included. Grade: GEM. |
