Note | A classic large hyper-glazed Trona with a prominent dorsal hump, impressive form, and wide deltoidal morphological features. The tumulosa has very dark dorsal pigmentation and a clear/desirable/classic dorsal line. The shell shows a strong weight/size ratio (82.8g), classic thick strong calloused and flanged margins, a black spire blotch and superb extremities. Collected by scuba diver at 3-5 meters wedged in reef wall crevice off Pointe des Almadies, Dakar, Senegal, West Africa. The Trona displays some subtle subnacre blemishes, a small glazed scrape on the mid-columellar base, a mild mid-dorsum wobble and a small subnacre glazed-over mini algae patch on the anterior ramp. Grade: F++/F+++. |
