| Note | Robust, inflated, moderately rostrated and highly nacred deep-water member of this diverse Western Australian species. The shell features one large/wide and darker embryonic dorsal band, beautiful dark beige extremities complimented by beige/brown circumferential marginal spotting. The specimen features an excellent nacre gloss, admirable weight/size ratio (58.5g), impressive form and a grayish/yellow toned base. Scuba diver captured at 60-65 meters on a granite wall hiding out on Geodia sponges in the Recherche Archipelago, Esperance, Western Australia in 2020. The specimen presents with an array of various subtle woobles and growth folds, combined with hard visually to recognize repaired areas (detected by palpation) on both extremity tips. Grade: F++/F+++. |
