| Note | Lovely, moderately large Andaman Sea specimen with a balanced plush distribution of sharp white spots and thick striking dorsal line. The hyper-nacred, deluxe glossy dorsum complements the presentation of the inflated body form as seen in the central image. The complex symphony of spotting is extraordinary and a collectable feature of this shell. The specimen is further accentuated by the flawless extremities and a orange hued aperture teeth anteriorly. Live collected by local Burma trawlers at 80-100 meters off Ranong Province, near the Mergui Archipelago, Myanmar in 11/2014 The specimen has a soft dorsal wobble and subnacre divot on the posterior lateral wall. Grade: GEM minus. |
