| Note | Moderately heavy, mature and hyper-glossy breathtaking, simply beautiful example of the subspecies. Terrific dorsal pattern and interesting distribution of dorsal maculae with a startling contrasting canvas of black leopard spotting against the four-toned lateral wall colors of grey/brown/flesh and burnt orange. A sight to see in your bare hands under daylight. The shell shows moderately tuberculated thick margins with perfect extremities and an amazing endless pitch black base. Captured by Scuba diver off Cape Curvier, Western Australia. The gastropod was nibbling on a large geodia sponge at 28 meters in 2/2022 when captured. There is a micro/nano-sand grain inclusion on the anterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
