| Note | Superb example of the this deep water subspecies with profound rostration, brilliant nacre gloss and thick/longer columellar teeth. The pyriform specimen shows calloused margins with intense butter yellow dorsum spotting and a clean/straight dorsal line. Collected in 2006 by trawler at 200-220 meters in the South China Sea, Taiwan. The shell demonstrates by inspection a light dark pigmented area on the mid-labral base. Grade: GEM minus. |
