| Note | FANTASTIC PATTERN AND BROWNISH SPECIAL COLOR FORM!! This is the darkest of all offered here with exceptional and vivid pattern. Impressive piece with large size for the species 56.9mm, this specimen was found inside Octopus cave and very fresh dead, I just remove the periostracum. Some small imperfections , like little chip on lip and micro hole near apex made by Octopus not detracting the beauty. Very thick lip and orange color. F++-F+++. These mysterious species are usually buried under the granular sand in the coastal zone, between 1m to 10m deep, but they are usually in areas where there are sea urchins, which is what they like the most. But they are nocturnal and are rarely seen hunting during the day. Some are 1cm under the sand but in extreme cases and growth I have found up to 30cm under the sand. The incredible bright orange animal with bright colors makes you think they are dangerous. I consider this species to be rare after so many years of searching for them in their territory. They are also solitary, which makes them more difficult to find, especially when they are buried, resting or growing. Here I show you in this auction a variety of these with unique and exclusive shapes and colors. Found inside Octopus cave between stones about 6m-7m deep.
