One rather large specimen of Fissurella peruviana, the smallest Fissurella species found in Chile. This is a rather uncommon species and it is very distinctive as it has a small foramen and a very arched and concave shell, which distinguishes it from all the other large Fissurella species found in the area. This particular specimen was found washed ashore among rocks. It has a very nice interior of shell and a border with no nicks. The dorsum can be cleaned further as it has some algae.
