Family | LANDSNAILS |
Name | Bostryx erythrostomus - Wonderful! , G.B. Sowerby I, 1833 |
Size | 31 mm |
Locality | Copiapó, Chile |
Note | One excellent and giant specimen of the largest Bostryx species from the Región de Atacama, in northern Chile: Bostryx erythrostomus. This species lives in a small area in the coastal desert, and their shells are often transported by wind. This is a particularly nice specimen, fresh dead (the soft remains are dry inside the shell), in much better condition than all the other specimens of this species offered in listings, with a very nice reddish-brown aperture a reddish protoconch and a shiny shell and with a giant size for the species, larger than any other Bostryx species in the area. This is your opportunity to obtain an exceptional landshell from northern Chile. |
