| Note | F+++/GEM. DE FORGES HIS SPONDYLUS: OUT OF THE DEPTHS. A fabulous deep water Spondylus: at first glance, it looks like a yellow Erectospinosus, but the spines are flattened. The shape of the spines refers the species to deforgesi. The base is deep lemon yellow and completely fringed. The spines are extremely long and multiple, all over the shell, the photos do not render the beauty. Unique. HYPOTYPE in the twin books: 1000 Shells, exceptionals from the Philippines. Deforgesi is now getting scarcer than ever since the Covid.
