| Note | VERY RARE!! This hard to find and absent species makes it very rare. Personally and from my own experience in very extreme occasions these individuals are found. A mysterious species in its habitat, able to adapt to extreme situations in fresh and salt water changes. Living in river mouths in front of the sea and survivor of extreme tides exposing themselves to the sun for hours. Without a doubt a brave of nature. Beautiful adult specimen with thick lip and excellent conditions. Found only in the rocks near the mouth of a small river, the end of the Melaque beach, called "El Mollito". Only a few stones are there with green and brown algeae with mud. The Epitonium bakhanstranum is hidden between the algae and attached. Extremely rare species, I was very lucky to find and get this wonderful species. For serious collectors only. Extremely low tide, El Mollito, Boca de Melaque, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2025.
