| Note | SPECIAL WIDE AND ELVATED RARE FORM!! Museum Conditions WOOOOW!! Look at this beauty and magnificent masterpiece with so fresh elegant and stunning colors. Here I show you in this auction a SPECIAL UNIQUE FORM with so elevated dorsum and short body, very similar form like Cypraecassis wilmae (Kreipl & Alf, 2001). Very unusual body form for the species. Extremely thick massive lip with rare shiny orange color , same color in the columella and inner lip side. The thick lip clearly curved combined with the high curved intact siphon. The nodules on the top are very high aligned and distributed all around, short perfect spire with so intact long apex. Sperb fresh and magnificent dark pattern colors on dorsum and white banded colors near lip. The real thing!! These mysterious species are usually buried under the granular sand in the coastal zone, between 1m to 10m deep, but they are usually in areas where there are sea urchins, which is what they like the most. But they are nocturnal and are rarely seen hunting during the day. Some are 1cm under the sand but in extreme cases and growth I have found up to 30cm under the sand. The incredible bright orange animal with bright colors makes you think they are dangerous. I consider this species to be rare after so many years of searching for them in their territory. They are also solitary, which makes them more difficult to find, especially when they are buried, resting or growing. Hard to get original operculum. Heavy and fat unique piece. Found buried 15cm in tick granulate sand between cracks of volcanic rocks on a rocky islet about 2m-3m deep. Near la Vena, Los Angeles Locos, Bahia de Tenacatita, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2025.
