NoteSPECIAL DARK SPINY MASTERPIECE!! The most dark brown color of all. Curved special spines. There are two types of spine tips among the existing populations, one with single brown spines and one with white-tipped spines. This specimen has white tips in an elegant and special way. The brown coloration on most of its body makes it unique. The lip is intact as an adult in perfect condition, as well as its siphon, spire, apex and spines intact. Very hard to get so intact. For advancer collectors and lovers of aesthetic shells. In this auction here I offer you a quality of highly selected specimens of Homalocnatha oxyacantha with unique and extraordinary spines. Most of them are very ugly and uncomplete in general, but here the real good ones for a low price. This species can usually reach sizes over 70mm on the Central American side and has a wide distribution from Mexico to Peru. In Mexico there are large sizes as well but most populations are small but truly adult individuals. I have found congregations of up to 20 individuals mating and they are less than 30mm sometimes. But they are usually solitary. Do not miss this unique opportunity to get the most spiny selection. The real thing for this seldom seen species and so hard to clean with ultrsonic. For advancer collectors. Found attached between stones with mud and mud about 8m deep. Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2025.
