NoteW.Bering Sea, Komandorskie Islands (“Commander Ids.”- National Park) N.W. of Bering Id., off Nikolskoye village, from local fisherman, crab traps, 80-100m.depth, sand and gravel bottom (22.07.1991) F++ F+++ RARE! RECENTLY DESCRIBED! Not sure to ID (new location of discovery, non-obvious signs of differences). It resembles Aulacofusus brevicauda form kurilensis, from the Kurile Ids., but differs in 1) much thinner shell, and 2) finer and more numerous spiral cords. Scar on body, some chips on lip. For specialist!
