F++/+++. AN EXPECTED NEW SPECIES IN THE SPONDYLIDAE. It is a quite typical marinensis as the conchological features are the same as seen in the shells of southern Martinique, the size and coloration are corresponding perfectly also. The authors described the new species from Pointe Marin (from where the name) in south Martinique. This shell has nothing in common with the "americanus". A not so easy to get Spondylus. Small range extension from Martinique to neighboring island Guadeloupe.
