| Note | RAREEEEE!!! MYTILIDAE - Lithophaga aristata (Dillwyn, 1817). GIANT SIZE WOOOOOW!! virtually impossible to get!! Extremely rare species living inside the shell of huge oysters between. They grow inside make holes and drilled caves growing. This particularly species present one valve longer than the other with some kind of curve assembling and fitting perfectly with both valves. Super thick massive lip with pearly glossy ventral sides. Splendid beaty of nature art. Found attached inside the shell of giant oyster about 5m deep. Playa Piratas, near Arroyo Seco, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2025. Value for this rarity , thick and pearly ventral side: 18-23 euro. MEXICO PACIFIC. |
