| Note | IMPRESSIVE UNIQUE WIDE AND ELEVATED BODY, WOOOOOW!! Large size for the population. The extended and massive wall after the lip modifies the shape of the lip, making the body more robust and broad. The spire is moderately short making this effect. The lip presents double extended teeth on each denticle and very marked wavy undulations with an extraordinary elegance. The lip, siphon and inner lip are completely intact, the dorsal part is coming with spiral ribs so elegantly adorned all around. Unfortunately there is a kind of attack-scar hole in the middle of the columellar lip and some tiny scars near spire not really detracting this beauty and seldom seen exceptional conditions species. F++-F+++. For aesthetic collectors and lovers of this fantastic Family. Searching for these mysterious creatures for years there are some rare cases among them. It seems that most people know only the same typical Malea ringens, but there is variability in colors, sculptures, shapes and sizes. One of my Favorite big shells in the pacific with so unique form and sculpture compare with all Tonas species and the biggest of the Maleas species.
