Note | Here is a lovely SLENDER example of this uncommon species from the NorthWest of WA. LARGE, CLEAN LUCANAE separate the dark red/brown pattern which ends with petite turned up canals at either end of the shell. Taken from an incredibly remote area which often has harsh tidal flow and known for poor, silty visibility; this was one of the nicest of only a handful of specimens we were able to collect during an expedition there late last year. GEM condition with no flaws to be seen. Live taken from a small red host sponge on low profile sponge garden at 13m. 4NM North East of Cape Preston, Pilbara Region, W.A. October 2024 *White marks are from camera reflection. Please ask about further images* |
