NoteOutstanding heavy specimen with an intense spotted /complex pattern not always typical of the species. The shell features diverse pattern arrangements with intermixed china white/dark brown banding and burnt orange and rust primary pigmentation. The color on this specimen is atypical for this species and nothing short of amazing. The cone has a perfect protoconch and spire. There is present a perfect thick natural lip and subtle growth folds on the dorsal body whorl and ventral whorl. Taken by Scuba diver at 30-60 meters in sandy rubble off St. Rose, Réunion Island, Indian Ocean in 1993. Grade: F+++/GEM.
