| Note | Moderately large and heavy specimen taken from the Sea of Cortez. Excellent axial spotting, excellent gloss, notable lavender aperture, dark spiral and moderate axial patching. The specimen features a perfect spire and natural lip. Collected by free diver on sand/rubble substrate at 4-6 meters off Punta Chivato, Baja California, Mexico in 1973. The shell shows a few shallow growth folds on the dorsal and slight erosion of the protoconch. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
