| Note | Unique dark patterned example of this common volute. Excellent nacre gloss, perfect apex and spire, with an intensely mixed dark brown/light brown/flesh/nude body whorl patterning that is exceptional. The specimen was collected by local fisherman at 5-8 meters off Banggai Island, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia in 3/2021. The shell features a moderate growth disruption fold on the ventral body whorl. Grade: F+++. |
