| Note | Moderately sized fusiform volute, heavy weight (91.1 grs) with notable symmetrical axial patterning, color and form. The off yellow/ivory body whorl color is accented by subtle shades of light/dull peach hued areas on the anterior ventral extremity. Protoconch is perfect with a flawless spire and elongated elliptical aperture. Collected live by scallop trawler off Port Canaveral, Florida, USA at 40-70 meters in the 80s. The anterior lip may have been lightly shaved and smoothed, difficult to determine, even under higher magnification. Grade: F+++. |
