| Note | Solid, elongate specimen with knobs on the body whorl and shoulder. The flesh-toned specimen displays a strong mid-dorsum interrupted dark brown patched axial band, excellent body symmetry and moderate weight. Collected off South Tangimoana-Manawatu Coast, New Zealand at low tide in 6/1980. The shell presents with a thick natural lip and and eroded protoconch. The specimen also displays a chip of the anterior lip. Grade: F++. |
