| Note | Large and expanded winged specimen with exceptional features and remarkable appeal visually and in hand. Impressive wide fluted varices complementing the moderately large trigonal body. The sweeping wings exhibit exaggerated flutes and channels, adding to the aesthetic impact. The shell beams a beautiful hazelnut brown, dark and light walnut brown pigmentation having a mellow and well balanced color display. Trawled at 25-40 meters off Busan, South Korea in 2012. The shell shows a perfect apex, spire and aperture lip. It does display minor wear on the dorsal and leading varix edges and slight chipping of the siphonal canal terminus. Grade: F+++. |
