Note | Rare Lambis species with seven spines, dark body whorl patterning and three strongly knobbed axial ribs. The shell shows amazing aperture teeth with strong expanding spiral ridges outlined by black gutters creating a most striking appearance. Moderately heavy shell for its size (81.1 grs) with excellent form and back swept spines. The shell was located and taken by Scuba diver at 5 meters in coral rubble off Tahiti, Society Islands, French Polynesia circa 2000. The robusta has minor dorsal growth folds on two spines. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
