A behemoth among the species, this is a supreme example of this uncommon shell from the tropical Indo-Pacific. The shell is like a tank at 238.0 grams, with thick axial knobbing, impressive axial cords with striping and ultra thick inner and outer aperture lips. The shell exudes a dark pumpkin orange body whorl pigmentation, shows excellent form and radial symmetry. Collected by compressor diver at 5-10 meters off Olango Island, Cebu, Philippines circa 1995. The specimen has slight attrition of the apex and anterior siphon tip. Grade: F+++/GEM.
