Note | Wonderfully pigmented and patterned, superbly inflated and richly nacred Hawaiian tiger. The shell has desirable intense leopard spotting blended over a unique deep exquisite multicolored primary color bed with a distinct and impressive golden brown mantle line. The shell exhibits perfect siphons, base and teeth with a moderate to strong weight/size ratio (240g). The shell is outstanding with a glowing deep gloss, inflated body with thick margins, Captured by Scuba diver Dave Watts off North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii in 2022. The tiger was discovered at 12-15 meters along a reef ledge among sponges and anemones on a night dive. The schilderiana demonstrates an area of small subnacre blemishes on the anterior columellar lateral wall ramp and labral anterior tip. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
