| Note | Strongly spotted/mottled dorsal pattern, thick calloused margins, humped dorsum and perfect siphons characterize this larger specimen. Strong gloss, heavy weight/size ratio (96.7 grams), amazing glazed porcelain-like lateral walls and margins with intense dark and standout spotting. This Atlantic Ocean beauty has a perfect base and aperture. Taken by free diver at 5 meters in reef crevice off Pointe des Almadies, Dakar, Senegal, West Africa in 7/2021. The Trona displays a host of subnacre blemishes concentrated on the columellar dorsum and lateral wall with some faint growth lines. Grade: F+++. |
