Note | One of the better specimens collected by this well know Australian diver. Heavy size/weight ratio shell for the species (60.6 grams). Dark dorsal pattern, great well-distributed large spots with a unique apricot/peach base. An outright beauty with fantastic color and form. The super triple thick calloused and flared margins are outstanding and appreciated when held in hand. A light blue halo complements the superb visual impact. A classic specimen of the this rare species. Scuba diver collected by the late and great Peter Clarkson at 23 meters. The shell was found nestled in sponges on a limestone reef off North Muiron Island, Exmouth, Western Australia in 5/1996. Original hand written data slip from Peter included. Grade: GEM. |
