NoteUnusual dark dorsal blotching and superb gloss characterize this rostrated example of Austrasiatica. The specimen displays a dorsal blotched pattern that looks like a cat about to pounce on a "sitting duck." Take a close look, this is a pattern that may be actually telling a story. The pattern alone makes it highly collectable. Profound inflation, flawless extremities and beautiful form underscore the added uniqueness of this specimen. Trawled off Taiwan in the East China Sea at 120 meters in 10/2016. The specimen has a minor nacre blemish on the posterior ramp and a mid-labral base mini silt stain, as seen on the lower middle image. Grade: F+++/GEM.
