| Note | Unusual two-toned patterned specimen displaying a rich multicolored primary hue and a thin lateral line that separates two completely different patterns and colors. Remarkable to see. The larger size, thick rich nacre, perfect extremities, strong rostration and elongate shape accentuates the beauty of this outstanding specimen. The shell displays light orange/pink marginal spotting. The pantherina was harvested in 5/2021 off Shalatin, Egypt by Scuba diver on night dive at 25-30 meters sitting in a coral reef crevice while dining on a sponge. The specimen is hard to flaw except for some shallow micro subnacre blemishes mid-dorsum and anterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
