Note | Classic glossy nacre, large, heavy and moderately inflated armenica with a notable vast and desirable golden dorsal blotch (145g). The specimen displays a lateral wall dorsal line, with moderate to intense shades of pastel orange and strong tangerine hues, highlighted by a marvelous nacre gloss. The shell displays perfect and strong flesh-toned/burnt orange flawless extremities. This is an excellent collectors piece. Trawled at 170 meters on sand and rubble bottom in the Great Australian Bight, off Eucla, Western Australia in 1998. The shell demonstrates a slight water mark on the mid-columellar base. Grade: GEM minus. |
