NoteExceptionally patterned specimen displaying china-white primary hues, brown/black speckled spotting and whitish/gray dorsal line. It's large size, moderately heavy weight (96.3 grams) thick rich nacre, perfect extremities and inflated shape brings the desirable attributes of this uncommon subspecies into focus. A rare collectors specimen. The pantherina was taken in 1982 off Yemen, Red Sea by Scuba diver on night dive at 15 meters under coral rubble at the base of a larger coral reef. Ex: Peter Stimpson collection. The specimen has negligible blemishes. Grade: GEM minus.
