| Note | Complex patterned hyper-glazed friendii version characterized by significant rostration of the anterior terminal and overall classic caramel color hues. Dark brown/caramel base with moderate tuberculation on both anterior and posterior margin extremities. Dark brown lateral walls, moderately spotted on the labral wall with magnificent form and raised spire. Located and captured on sponge while nested on reef by Scuba diver at 18-20 meters off Carnac Island, south of Fremantle, Western Australia feeding on a sows ear sponge in the 90s. The friendii shows one growth wobble on the labral mid-lateral wall. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
