| Note | Admirable, large Andaman Sea specimen with a lavish distribution of large light grey spots and a thick striking dorsal line. The hyper-nacred, deluxe glossy dorsum complements the presentation of the inflated body form as seen in images. The complex symphony of spotting is extraordinary and a collectable feature of this shell. EX: Marty Beals Collection. Live collected by local trawlers at 60-80 meters off Racha Island, Phuket, Thailand in 6/1989. The specimen has insignificant wobbles on the anterior ramp and anterior columellar lateral wall. There exists also a micro-sand inclusion on the posterior ramp. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
