| Note | Exceptionally gorgeous and classic brilliantly nacred specimen with beautiful shape, symmetry and coloration. Moderately heavy for its size, the specimen is outstanding in all respects. The dorsum displays a beautiful wide mid-dorsal light brown line with a cream/walnut colored diffuse window perched on the dorsal hump. Sienna brown infused black dorsum blends into the lateral walls and pristine base. The moderately flanged posterior and anterior thick margins, with strong tuberculation, are most impressive visually. The shell was collected off City Beach, north of Perth, Western Australia at approximately 18-25 meters while nestled on a sponge. The shell shows some insignificant blemishes. Grade: GEM minus. |
