Note | Exceptionally mature, inflated, moderately heavy (41.2 grams) specimen with a distinctive dark dorsal pattern and amazing high grey/nude/tan margins and a faint semi-blue halo. This pattern is uncommon, intriguing and a welcome addition to any Zoila collection. The specimen exhibits a deep nacre gloss, perfect extremities, beautiful dorsum and base. The shell glows electric orange/red under fluorescent lighting (black light). The episema was taken by legendary Scuba diver Peter Clarkson off St. Alouarn Island, Cape Leeuwin area, Western Australia feeding on a black sponge sitting on a limestone reef at 14 meters in 3/2002. The shell displays minor subnacre mini-flecks on the dorsum. The shell comes with Peters original hand written data slip. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
