Note | Hyper-pigmented specimen with distinctive and balanced dorsal maculae, blotches and wide multi-hued diffuse dorsal line. Dark and attractive, standout example of this Western Australian coast Zoila. Dark brown/chocolate brown two-toned lateral walls, perfect extremities and interesting base complement this particular specimen. The glazed white subnacre spots on the columellar base may considered as defects by some collectors. Sourced and collected by Pearl Divers at 12-15 meters in the 80s. The shell was located off Mangroove Point, Broome, north Western Australia. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
