| Note | Superb specimen with strong pattern coloring and excellent morphology. The specimen displays moderate patterning, although intense on the ventral and lateral sides, striking violet hued axial rings on the spire and body whorl with the presence of a prominent second posterior spine. Heavy specimen of exceptional quality for the species (83.7 grams). Collected by diver at 23-25 meters on hard reef between grass and algae off Hospital Point, Guam, Western Pacific in 2023. The specimen exhibits subtle growth folds on the main body whorl with hints of negligible erosion of the spine tips and siphonal edge. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
