| Note | SPECIAL PATTERN AND SUPERB SHINY BODY FORM!! Clear multiple white dots around the ventral middle and spire side of the shell. Large size for the population and hard to get this sizes nowadays. Super elegant denticles and undulated lip form, the most exquisite unique shiny aperture WOOOOW!! Complete Columella, siphon, lip and apex. The dorsal elegant spiral ribs are clearly pronounced and elevated combined with phenomenal white spotted pattern. Minor defects for the size and species. For aesthetic collectors and lovers of this fantastic Family. Searching for these mysterious creatures for years there are some rare cases among them. It seems that most people know only the same typical Malea ringens, but there is variability in colors, sculptures, shapes and sizes. I have found dwarf populations and others where individuals are giants. One of my Favorite big shells in the pacific with so unique form and sculpture compare with all Tonas species and the biggest of the Maleas species. They are most night active , They are rarely hunting during the day. Hart to find in the day because they are most complete buried. Superb fresh piece!!! F+++. Found buried in sand under huge platforms stones about 10m deep. Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. February 2025. Value for this rarity and shiny masterpiece : 85 to 100 euros.
