| Note | One very nice specimen of the rare Fissurella costata. This species is naturally rare and hard to collect because it lives only in large rocks or boulders in the surf zone, so it is always out of reach in the coast and the waves here are huge. This specimen is in very good condition for the species, has a ligtly cleaned natural dorsum completely covered with white calcareous algae (which can be removed with some care), a very nice and shiny interior of shell, and it has just a few tiny chips in the border, which is nicely banded. |
