| Note | MONSTER SIZE NOWADAYS WOOOOW!! Fresh dark colors. With more dense White color form and some dark brown axial dots as a pattern and between some banded spotted thick lines. Extra elevated dorsum with elegant and brilliant pattern combined with some nodules on top. Extremely thick orange lip in the interior front part of the ventral side with some elegant denticles. Some orange cream colors in the inner lip. The shell present some natural defects for this giant size like grow marks between pattern, some tiny scar near spire , apex with tiny chip and lip. Still a fantastic giant rare piece for any incredible collection. Hard to find this giant sizes on the market nowadays and in situ. These mysterious species are usually buried under the granular sand in the coastal zone, between 1m to 10m deep, but they are usually in areas where there are sea urchins, which is what they like the most. But they are nocturnal and are rarely seen hunting during the day. Some are 1cm under the sand but in extreme cases and growth I have found up to 30cm under the sand. The incredible bright orange animal with bright colors makes you think they are dangerous. I consider this species to be rare after so many years of searching for them in their territory. They are also solitary, which makes them more difficult to find, especially when they are buried, resting or growing. Heavy and fat unique piece. F++-F+++. Found buried 15cm in tick granulate sand between cracks of volcanic rocks about 5m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2025. Value for this rare giant size and dark colors: 75-85 euro.
