NoteBroadly fusiform specimen with a massive body whorl with six spinose varices. The primary white colored body whorl is complemented with a balanced array of radiating chestnut brown/black markings on the spiral cords and foliated spines. The shell has a distinguishing dark siphonal canal with a standout brown pinstripe that frames the porcelain aperture. The specimen was captured by the late/great Scuba diver Paul Kanner on the side of Boulders at 28 meters off Isla Espiritu Santo, La Paz, Mexico in 10/2006. Original hand written data slip from Paul included. The shell has one separated spine on the dorsal spire and two mini-chips on the anterior siphonal canal. Grade: F+++.
