| Note | Impressive specimen with an intense black/brown dorsal body whorl pigmentation extending over to the blade-like leading varix. The shell also displays a bright white laminate mid-dorsal varix, accentuating the black/white contrasting color of this unique shell. The specimen has an intact spire, body whorl and seamless fused siphonal canal. The shell was collected by diver at 3-4 meters off Goree Island, Dakar, Senegal in 5/1977. The shell has some moderate erosion of the spire and protoconch. Grade F+++. |
