| Note | Amazing classic form and deep lavender pigmentation characterize this exquisite specimen. The specimen demonstrates a reduced, almost flat spire, intact protoconch, hyper-elongate form, profound radial body whorl cording and thin natural lip. With a light lavender lip, moderate weight/size ratio (61.4 grams) and single white mid-body axial band. The shell lavender color is mild and subdued, but extremely attractive visually. The shell was collected by local fisherman using tangle nets at 100-120 meters off Balicasag Island, Bohol, Philippines in the 90s. The shell exhibits some mild shallow chipping of the anterior lip and a few short subtle creases on the body whorl. Grade: F+++. |
