| Note | Huge cream colored specimen with strong shades of brown pigmented dorsal patterning (2.9 mm short of the WRS). The large anus shows intense spiral rows of smooth tubercles and nodules covering all the whorls angulated in different directions. Apertural side is covered by a broad glossy striking latticed parietal shield with thick and sharp edges. Its underlying tubercles and teeth produce a memorable visual impact. The specimen was Scuba diver collected by Paul Kanner off Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines in 1/1997 at 3-4 meters on sand between corals. The shell comes with Paul's original data slip. The specimen exhibits negligible areas of chipping on the posterior edge of the parietal shield and erosion of the protoconch as seen in imaging. Grade: F++/F+++. |
