| Note | Rare deep water specimen from the Western Pacific. This particular shell is the official recorded world record size (WRS) from the Paul Kanner collection. The specimen displays exceptional axial beaded cording over the spire and body whorl, perfect spire and protoconch, with thick aperture lip and flawless siphonal canal. The shell shows an excellent body whorl blotching pattern with marked anatomical form and symmetry. Collected by tangle net at 200-250 meters off Balut Island, Mindanao, Philippines circa 2000. The specimen has a small mini-pit on the ventral shoulder and is Dead Collected. Grade: Good enough. |
