| Note | Large, inflated and hyper-calloused member of this striking Hawaiian species. These definitely grow bigger in Hawaii. Brilliant color, bright reticulated pattern with thick calloused margins and beautiful dark lateral wall spotting extending over the margins and peripheral base. A solid shell with superb sparkling nacre and a centered dorsal line. The specimen has perfect extremities and dorsum. Discovered and removed off Kaena Point, Oahu, Hawaii on night dive while hiding in a cave wall at 20-25 meters. There are evident some minor blemishes on the dorsum. Grade: GEM minus. |
